Preheat Oven to 350°
In a medium saucepan melt butter and chocolate over low heat. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Beat lightly by hand just until combined. Stir in flour and 1/2 cup nuts. Spread batter into a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan. Bake in a 350° oven 30 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
